Museum is situated in a (former) apartment of Gnessina (1874-1967), the legendary musician, founder and leader (during 72 years) of the complex of musical education named after Gnessins.

    Here in the museum are photos, arts, memorial subjects, letters, concert programs, manuscripts, rare editions, records, different archival documents, which richly reflects history of Russian culture and Russian music especially, the development of music education and personally the life and work of the unique family of Gnessins. The excursions as well as concerts, conferenes, demonstrations of records, memorial events, studies in archive and library take place in the museum.
