Zlatoust Museum of lore was founded in 1825 as a museum of Gorny (mountain) region by the mountain engineer P.P. Anosov. The collections of ornamented edge weapon and minerals were the very first collections of the Museum. At present the Museum has three departments: nature, history and art. In the nature department you can get acquainted with minerals of Zlatoust vicinity and with the variety of the Yrals flora and fauna. The history department contains the matetials about construction of Zlatoust metal works, about mode of life in XIX, about production development. The materials of exposition tell us about different parties taking part in the political struggle, about the life of the town with "red" and "white" Governments at the power.

    The collection of ornamented edge weapon and Zlatoust engraving on steel plates are the most remarkable things in the Museum. There are not only articles of Bushev and Boyarshinov - craftsmen of the first half of XIX but also the pieses of our contemporaries. Except the permanent exposition they organize the exhibitioins of their own funds and the funds of other museums. Different excursions, lectures, shows, meetings with interesting people are held in this museum.
