The museum of the military glory of inhabitants of Omsk was created in the year of 40th anniversary of the victory of soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The museum is situated in memorial building on the Taube Street. The staff of 178th rifle division was situated in this building during the war. This division took part in the Moskow battle and the Leningrad battle during the war.

    The first exposition of the museum was called "This day of Victory". The primary vole of this exposition was to tell about the exploits of inhabitants of Omsk at the front and in the vear. There are many exhibits in the museum they tell us about courage of inhabitants of Omsk.

    The name of the nwe exposition of the museum is "The exploit of a soldier". This exposition was created in the year of 50th anniversary of the victory in the Graet Patriotic War. Most of museum's exhibits are the brings of archives of veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

    V.I.Voytceshuk was a patricipant of taking by storm Berlin and Kenigsberg. He and two his friends built the aircraft and they were flew on this aircraft during the war. The museum's documents tell about it.

    K.P.Goryacheva is a sister of a hero of Soviet Union - V.P.Goryachov and she gave to the museum documents and his own things.

    L.I.Kolmakov gave as a present to (at) the museum his greatcoat. He was dressed in this greatcoat during the defence of Moskow. And fascists shot him twice. But he survived and he kept the greatcoat as a recollection and he gave as a present greatcoat at a museum in the day of 50th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotis War. And it is one of the most rare inhabits at the museum. This exposotion is a modest memorial to a soldier of the Great Patriotic War.
