The mast remarkable place of interest in our steppe region is the museum of the Virgin Lands History. It was founded in a short time and the name given to it is no mere coincidence because for many people particnlarly for the generation of the sixtieth the Virgin Lands mean a herois time connected with opening up new lands, the first furrow the first navrests, the first schools, hospitals, shops, roads, electrotransmission lines and the first state farms as well. The museum houses a rare collection of relics and artifacts gathered by museum workers. The museum has about 5000 exhibits, rare letters, documents, photos of great interest which show the history of our steppe region, the herdic exploit of our conntrymen during the dreat Patrtotic war in time of opening up the Virgin Lands and the nowdays life
