The Konakovo Local History museum of local lore has been opened for visitors in April, 1990. In a museum the history of edge from time of its settling by the person and is reflected up to now. The exposition opens the section devoted to the nature of edge, containing its fiziko-geographical characteristic, data on natural objects. Here - a colourful card of area, samples of soils and minerals, photos of landscapes and reserved territories.

    The epoch of bronze is presented by finds from the Tourist's Ginovsky burial ground of Fatjanovsky culture - clay vessels, stone axes, silicon instruments of labour and the weapon. Materials from archaeological researches курганных burial grounds of villages Zagore, Zabore, Glinniki and селищ characterise culture of the population of edge during Old Russian time and the Middle Ages. Instruments of labour, household things, ornaments from iron, bronze and glass, allow not only to tell bones about employment of the population, to reconstruct man's and female suits, but also partially to restore elements of spiritual life, first of all a funeral ceremony.

    Copies of the unique documents stored in the central archives of the country, portraits, the books connected with names of outstanding people testify to development of edge in late feudalism, having a direct bearing on its history at this time. In an exposition it is possible to see a card of travel of empress Catherine II across Volga with which the first written mention of village Korcheva is connected. Here - faience products of factory Auerbaha, household things, copies of medallions of count F Tolstoy devoted to Patriotic war of 1812.
